Self-compassion is a powerful source of resilience among sexual minorities. It contributes to our well-being and life satisfaction, by helping us to cope with shame and stress related to society’s discrimination. This experiential workshop for LGBT+ individuals and allies will explore basic practices in self-compassion and clarify common misunderstandings. It will draw from new research findings on how self-compassion nurtures self-acceptance and enables us to negotiate our community. We will also address some challenges that LGBT+ individuals face in cultivating compassion for ourselves and in our relationships.
See you online! 🌈
